What is it?

 

A very special two-day acting seminar geared for those actors that are seriously pursuing or planning to pursue a career in film, television or theater.

This two-day event starts at 10:00 AM and goes till 6:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday. The fee for the two days is $200.00 and includes snacks. You need to book in advance to insure participation.

The seminar has two main areas of focus:

DAY ONE - Bentley will cover the business side of the industry, including valuable insights, secrets of the trade and keys to: Success and star power presence, Auditioning / office techniques Agents (their true functions / how to pick them), managers, publicists, casting directors (their true functions) do's and don'ts of networking, business parties... headshots, resumes, demo tapes, marketing yourself, effective scene winning techniques, Character development. The lead of the film Bentley recently completed directing, an Actor named Luke Tingle, a student of Bentley's will also be in attendance on Saturday to answer questions about working, and how the technique Bentley teaches translates, on a set. DAY TWO - focuses on the application of the newly learned knowledge through: Actor participation, critique, making adjustments and changes that work! You will see a magical, exciting, transformation from ordinary to extraordinary... right in front of your eyes!

Some Quick information about Bentley Mitchum

Mr. Mitchum, having been raised in one of Hollywood most prominent acting families, grew up inside the business and now has over 40 film and television credits on his resume. Besides being a third generation actor that began with his grandfather, the legendary Robert Mitchum, Bentley has also studied hard and has not taken his background for granted.

He has studied with John Kirby, USC's prestigious BFA-Drama program, and many more. Most recently, he studied acting techniques for the equivalent of 3 years with the acclaimed and respected Ivana Chubbuck at the Ivana Chubbuck studio. Past and present students include Brad Pitt, Charlize Theron, Melissa Joan Hart, Tara Reid, Elizabeth Shue, Jim Carrey, Matthew Perry, Amy Smart, David Spade, Eriq LaSalle, Majandra Delfino, David Arquette, Drew Carey, Famke Jensen, Mario Lopez, Tyra Banks, and hundreds more... You may remember Halle Berry thanking Ivana during her Oscar acceptance speech.

Besides doing seminars nationally, for the past two years Bentley has been teaching Acting in Austin, Dallas, and Houston, Texas. He also teaches private classes. This has kept and continues to keep Mr. Mitchum's skills honed to a fine level of professionalism.

The range of experience that he shares with his students will not only allow them to walk away from these two days of intense study with a sound base of knowledge on the industry but they will also have a new vision of how to make sure they are seen and remembered at auditions. The inspiration, enthusiasm and confidence shared by Mr. Mitchum will ignite the passion that burns in a true actor's soul! As a director, Bentley have just wrapped principle photography on his first feature film. The film stars Billy Drago (The Untouchables, Charmed), Robert Rusler (Babylon 5, Weird Science, Nightmare on Elm St 2, Shag), Julie St.Claire (Y&R, Santa Barbara, VIP), Jaime Anstead (Backlot Murders, Death Train), Christopher Mitchum (Big Jake, Rio Lobo) and 15 of his past students. The lead of the film, an actor named Luke Tingle, a student of Bentley's will also be attending the seminars to answer questions about working, and how the technique Bentley teaches translates, on a set.
