DAY ONE

The business side of the industry, including valuable insights, secrets of the trade and keys to: Success and star power presence, auditioning / office techniques, agents (their true functions / how to pick them), managers, publicists, casting directors (their true functions) do's and don'ts of networking, business parties... headshots, resumes, demo tapes, marketing yourself, effective scene winning techniques, character development and much more.    

 DAY TWO

focuses on the application of the newly learned knowledge through: Actor participation, critique, making adjustments and changes that work!  Before your eyes you will see a magical, exciting, transformation from ordinary to extraordinary!

THE TEACHER

BENTLEY MITCHUM

Mr. Mitchum grew up inside the business and has over 45 film and television credits. He is a third generation actor (his grandfather is the legendary Robert Mitchum), who has studied hard and not taken his background for granted.   Most notably, Bentley studied at USC's prestigious BFA-Drama program and also with the acclaimed and respected Ivana Chubbuck at the Ivana Chubbuck studio in Los Angeles. Past and present students of the technique include Brad Pitt, Charlize Theron, Jim Carrey, Matthew Perry, and hundreds more. You may remember Halle Berry thanking Ivana during her Oscar acceptance speech.    Bentley has taught seminars nationally (from Maine to Hawaii) and for the past five years Bentley has taught Acting in Austin, Dallas, and Houston, Texas. Bentley’s past students can be seen on Cold Case, CSI, Criminal Minds, Veronica Mars, The Shield, Bones, Untold stories of the ER, Walker, Texas Ranger, Gene Simmon’s Family Jewels, The Ringer, Prison Break, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and much more.  Just recently, Bentley’s student Rich McDonald landed a lead role in HBO’s mini-series “Generation Kill” and filmed for eight months in South Africa.

The range of experience that Bentley shares with his students will not only allow them to walk away from these two days of intense study with a sound base of knowledge on the industry but they will also have a new vision of how to make sure they are seen and remembered at auditions. The inspiration, enthusiasm and confidence shared by Mr. Mitchum will ignite the passion that burns in a true actor's soul!
