I grew up listening to my grandfather tell me stories of his life that were so remarkable that the best of writers couldn't invent them if they tried... My grandfather would never do an autobiography, nor authorize anyone to wtite his story. When asked why, he responded "What for? The LAPD have my whole life on file".

My grandfather was Robert Mitchum. A legendary Hollywood actor with over 130 movies to his credit. He is also known for being the original Hollywood Bad Boy, A drinker, A fighter, a ladies man, a story teller, a survivor, a devoted husband, a family man, in fact almost anything you could say about my grandfather, was probably true at one point in his life. He was the last standing modern gladiator.

This screen play is his story, as told to me over the years. Before he died, he read it and gave me his approval to move forward with the project...

I want this to be a tribute to a man I respected and loved...
